WELCOME COACHES & MANAGERS

Thank you to all our coaches, assistants, managers, and volunteers for the time, energy, and dedication you bring to Collingwood Minor Baseball. Your involvement is what keeps our program strong and helps provide a great experience for every player throughout the season.

SPORTSHEADZ (SH) & SCHEDULES

  • Team rosters are uploaded to SportsHeadz (SH), where coaches can communicate directly with their teams.

  • Practices and home games are entered by the league scheduler.

  • Away games must be entered by the coach or team manager once the schedule is received.

  • Use SportsHeadz for quick updates, rainout notices, and team communication.

  • SH also includes player availability, messaging, and calendar features to help coordinate team activities.

COACHES COURSES & NCCP NUMBERS

  • All coaches must have an NCCP# and complete the required training.
  • Please ensure your NCCP# has been submitted to SSMBA Convenor.

REQUIRED COURSES

  1. Coach Initiation in Sport – 45–60 minutes, online

  2. Coach Initiation in Baseball – 2 hours, online

  3. Safe Sport Training – 90 minutes, online

UNIFORMS

  • Uniforms (Jersey's and Hats) are coordinated by Michael (see Contact Us for more information).

  • Players must wear:

    • Grey pants

    • Helmet with chin strap or C flap

    • Jock or Jill (mandatory)

    • Running shoes or cleats (no metal spikes)

EQUIPMENT

  • Each team is supplied with an equipment bag.
  • Please ensure all equipment is returned in good condition at the end of the season (cleaned and dusted off).

UMPIRE PAYMENTS

  • Umpire money is e-transferred to coaches before their first home game.
  • Coaches are responsible for paying umpires and tracking payments.
  • Any unused funds must be returned at the end of the season.
